Gloucester Screens

Gloucester: The Regal, 32 St. Aldate Street Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1RP (now a Wetherspoons pub) 

The Regal officially opened on Monday, March 19th 1956. It
became the ABC Cinema in 1963 and in 1987, became a Cannon
Cinema, after being taken over by a new cinema chain.

Gloucester’s Peel Centre signalled the end for the Regal cinema and it closed in December 1990. After becoming vacant for many years, the former cinema was bought by JD Wetherspoon.
